. Semi-Automatic Pistol Shooting Fundamentals Course

The Semi-Automatic Pistol Shooting Fundamentals Course is designed for a person who has never shot a semi-automatic pistol and might be considering purchasing one for self defense. It also is suitable for a person who already has shot a semi-automatic pistol but who has had no previous formal training in semi-automatic pistol shooting fundamentals.

This course is excellent preparation for the Advanced Use of Pistol Sights from Zero to 25 Yards course that provides more instruction in the use of semi-automatic handgun sights to master the shooting continuum at distances where point shooting is not appropriate.

All shooting in this fundamentals course will be accomplished while using the pistol sights. The participants will fire a minimum of 250 rounds and will be encouraged to shoot more if time permits.

This class is conducted at the Oakwell Armory range. Oakwell Armory rents semi-automatic pistols so students who do not have a semi-automatic pistol available will be able to rent a semi-automatic pistol for this class. When using a rented semi-automatic pistols all ammunition used in this semi-automatic pistols must be purchased from Oakwell Armory.
