Revolver Shooting Fundamentals
The Revolver Shooting Fundamentals course is designed to introduce a new shooter to the fundamentals of safe handling and shooting a revolver. It also is suitable for a shooter who has had no previous formal training in revolver shooting fundamentals.
For many persons a revolver will be the best handgun to own. A revolver is simple to load and to use. Pull the trigger and it shoots. Short barrel revolvers are easy to carry and to conceal. In an emergency situation a revolver with a covered hammer can be fired from a pocket or a purse. Revolvers are good home defense guns for people who choose to limit their investment in training.
However, some revolvers, especially those with short barrels, small sights, and heavy triggers, are relatively difficult to shot accurately without training. This course is designed to provide the needed training with a minimum investment of time and money. Participants will shoot approximately 100-150 rounds of ammunition.
All sizes of revolvers can be used in the class. If the participant does not already own a revolver, Oakwell Armory rents revolvers that can be used in the class. If a revolver is rented from Oakwell Armory the ammunition used in the rental must be purchased from the store.
