Counter Violence Training
Our training courses teach you how to use a handgun and other firearms to counter criminal violence that might be directed toward you or your loved ones. When faced with criminal violence there are only winners and losers.  Our training will teach you the skills and mindset you must have to be the winner and go home to your loved ones.

For teaching purposes we separate the pistol shooting techniques we teach into two parts of a shooting continuum.

The first part of a shooting continuum is shooting without the use of pistol sights. These shooting techniques are called Point Shooting. They are  effective at distances between Zero to 21 feet.  This is the distance where you are most likely to encounter criminal violence directed at you.

The second part of the shooting continuum is the use of the sights on a pistol.  Sighted Shooting techniques are used when point shooting does not deliver the required accuracy, when more precise shots are required or when the distance demands that the pistol sights be used.

We offer basic and advanced courses in both parts of the shooting continuum.  A complete pistol shooter should be proficient in all parts of the continuum as violence knows no location, time, or distance limitations. One or two courses will not turn you into a proficient shooter in all parts of the shooting continuum.

If you have never handled a firearm or if you have never have had formal training we have a shooting fundamentals course for you. You will find shooting fundamentals courses in our Point Shooting page and in our Sighted Shooting page

If you are an experienced shooter we also have courses designed just for you.   Go to our Point Shooting page or our Sighted Shooting page to see the courses designed for an advanced shooter and courses designed for a very advanced shooter.

As your skills progress our advanced courses integrate both parts of the shooting continuum so you will learn to employ the shooting techniques that are appropriate and effective for the wide variety of situations you may have to face.
