Oakwell Armory has a 25 yard range with sixteen covered fixed shooting bays that are equipped with electrically moveable targets. All of the bays are covered and are out of the sun. They also have fans in the ceiling,  All bays can be used by their customers for shooting all calibers of pistols and rifles.   

A 32 yard training range is available that is used for the advanced training conducted at the range. This range has a covered shelter and large fans. The training range can be used for shotgun shooting and other shooting when advanced training or shooting activities  are not being conducted on the training range.

An archery range is available for training with a bow. Turkey shoot are also conducted on the archery range.

Eye and ear protection are required for all persons on the range.  These items can be rented or purchased at the range. Rental handguns and rifles are available.

The following pistols and rifles can be rented for use on the range: When using rental firearms all ammunition used with the rental firearms must be purchased at the range.

Targets, and Ammunition:
Rifle, pistol, and shotgun targets, and ammunition can be purchased at the range for your own use or for use on the range. A wide assortment of shooting accessories are available as well.

TRAINING
JB Training LLC conducts  its firearms shooting classes at this range. A large climate controlled area is available for classes so heat and humidity or cold are not an issue for the classroom portion of the training.  Training is available seven days a week and classes can be scheduled during the evening hours.  Individual classes are available as well as classes taught during  the published schedule.

Suarez International conducts some of their training at this range.   On their website the training at Oakwell Armory range is shown as being held in Jacksonville, FL. Saturday - 10:00 to 6:00
Monday and Sunday - closed for shooting - Classes only on Monday.

$10/ hour for a single user in one lane
$15/ Hour 2 shooters per lane

Members receive a discount on training courses held at the range.

Activities:

Participants are welcome.

22 Steel Plate Matches are held on the fourth Saturday of each month.  Cost to participate is $10.  22 caliber pistols and revolvers are the only guns that can be used in these matches. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steel_challenge_ for more information on this type of shooting.

Turkey Shoots are held on the last Friday and Saturday nights of each month from 6 PM to 10 PM. Cost is $3 per round for a turkey round and $5 per round for Boston Butt, Ham, Sausage, and Bacon rounds.  You may use your own shotgun or shotguns are available for use.  Ammunition to be used is supplied as part of the fee. 

Items for Sale
Pistol, rifle and shotgun targets can be purchased at the range.
Ammunition is available for purchase at the range.  Prices are competitive. A wide variety of shooting accessories are available for purchase. 

Firearms Purchases
Oakwell Armory sells new and used firearms at excellent prices. If a firearm is in not in stock they can order it for you and get it within a few days.  Their markup is $25 for any firearm priced under $500 and $50 for any firearm priced over $500. They will give you a copy of their invoice when you purchase a firearm. Please check with them before purchasing from their competitors.

Oakwell Armory  accepts trades and will take firearms for consignment sale. They handle firearms transfers for firearms purchases made out of state.

Florida residents can purchase rifles and shotguns. They can also purchase handguns but the handguns must be transferred to a Florida FFL for delivery.  Check with the store for details.

Georgia residents can  purchase handguns rifles, and shotguns. 











Directions to Oakwell Armory 

Take Exit 1 off I95 in Georgia. 

If coming from the north turn right on St. Marys Road (It becomes Scrubby Bluff Road in Kingsland) and proceed west for 2.5 miles. Oakwell Armory is on the left.  There are multiple flags in the front yard along with the statue of a soldier.

Using US 17 into Georgia

From the Fernandina Beach and Yulee area take SR200/A1A west to US 17.  Turn right and proceed to the Florida/Georgia line.  Cross the bridge over the St. Mary's river and proceed north for 2.6 miles. Turn right on Scrubby Bluff road.  Oakwell Armory is the second driveway on the right.  Multiple flags are in the front yard along with the statue of a soldier.
