Self Defense Shooting From Zero to 25 Yards Part One
In the Part 1 course participants will learn how to use their pistol sights to make combat accurate shots at distances greater than those encountered in the Self Defense Shooting from Zero to 21 Feet course. Participants also will learn how to accomplish precise shot placement when this type of shooting is required.
Participants will learn to shoot from a variety of positions other than standing. They also will learn to transition from point shooting to the use of the pistol sights when appropriate or required.
Self Defense Shooting From Zero to 25 Yards Part Two
The Self Defense Shooting From Zero to 25 Yards Part Two course teaches advanced point shooting techniques that involve movement and shooting on the move. This course picks up where the Self Defense Shooting From Zero to 21 Feet course stopped and advances the point shooting skills needed to survive and win a felonious assault by a criminal determined to kill or seriously injure you.
Course Material
Part One
The following material is covered in the Self Defense Shooting From Zero to 25 Yards course Part One class:
- Additional information on understanding the rights and responsibilities that occur when carrying and using a defensive handgun – 1.5 Hours
- Review of Self Defense Shooting From Zero to 21 Feet course.material - 30 minutes
- Aiming and firing techniques where the use of sights for distance shots or making a precise shot is an appropriate technique – 3 hours
- Use of concealment and cover – 1 hour
- Shooting from non-standing positions - 1 hour
- Use of movement – 2 Hours
Part Two
The following material is covered in the Self Defense Shooting From Zero to 25 Yards course Part Two class:
- Point shooting while moving - 3 hours
- Drawing and handling a pistol with the non-dominant hand - 1 hour
- Low light shooting - 1 hour
- Use of night sights and lasers - 1 hour
- Use of flashlights - 1 hour
- Advanced strategies and tactics - 1 hour
Completion of this training will provide a certificate that meets the training requirements required by the State of Florida to obtain a Florida Concealed Weapon License.
